About the Journal

Journal of Philosophy, Knowledge & Management Review (JPKMR) is an academic journal dedicated to advancing philosophical inquiry, critical reflection, and interdisciplinary scholarship in the field of management. The journal provides a scholarly forum for examining management not merely as a practical discipline concerned with organizational effectiveness, but also as a field of knowledge shaped by fundamental assumptions about reality, knowledge, values, human beings, organizations, and society. Its scope includes the philosophy of management and management science, particularly ontology, epistemology, axiology, ethics, paradigms, methodology, and theories of knowledge. The journal welcomes theoretical, conceptual, methodological, empirical, and interdisciplinary studies examining how philosophical assumptions influence management theories, research questions, methodological choices, interpretation of evidence, and managerial practices, including perspectives such as positivism, post-positivism, interpretivism, critical theory, pragmatism, critical realism, constructivism, and posthumanism.

Journal of Philosophy, Knowledge & Management Review (JPKMR)  also welcomes scholarship connecting management philosophy with organizational studies, leadership, business ethics, corporate governance, strategic management, human resource management, financial management, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, sustainability, and social responsibility. Particular attention is given to critical examinations of power, values, justice, human dignity, organizational responsibility, sustainability, and the social consequences of managerial decisions. The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual and theoretical papers, systematic literature reviews, critical reviews, philosophical reflections, methodological papers, and scholarly book reviews. Contributions may employ qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, philosophical, or interdisciplinary approaches, provided that their philosophical relevance to management is clearly articulated. Through these contributions, the journal seeks to strengthen dialogue between philosophical inquiry, management research, and managerial practice by examining not only what management knowledge is and how it is produced, but also what values it embodies, for whom it is useful, and what consequences it creates for organizations and society.
